The cost of one dive can be different, it is better to clarify it on the spot, since it depends on factors such as transfer from the hotel, remoteness of diving places, equipment rental, meals and more. A popular place for diving is the island of Nusa Penida and the adjacent islands, which are half an hour away by boat from the port in Sanur.
Both professional divers and beginners can swim off the coast of this island. There are many places to dive. Coral reefs of the coast have become home for a variety of inhabitants:
Manta Point – a place where giant stingrays come, since there is a large amount of plankton that they feed on. Stingrays are familiar to people, but still do not swim too close to them. Their wingspan reaches 4-5 meters, and their weight is about two tons. These are real marine giants and you can admire them even from a distance. In addition, you can look at other inhabitants of the deep sea: mollusks, crabs, cuttlefish and turtles.
Another place known to all divers is Crystal Bay – the waters here are incredibly clean and warm, despite the strong currents, visibility is up to 25 meters. In the middle of the bay, there is a small rocky island. You can see here the sunfish, which can be up to three meters long, clownfish, lyretail anthias, angelfish and many others.
The small Gamat Bay is rich in coral thickets, and clear water will allow you to see everything in great detail. In the coral reefs live sea bass, surgeonfish etc. Reef sharks and turtles often appear here.
Any diving center or school on the coast of Bali offers diving tours to the island of Nusa Lembongan. This is the second largest island, part of the Nusa islands group, which is located southeast of Bali. Tourists come here from Bali – a boat trip takes about half an hour, but it is also possible to get from the nearest islands of Gili and Nusa Penida.
The reasons why Lembongan is so popular are quite simple – there are clear waters and a rich underwater world. On the island, you can learn how to dive and get a license in the Jungut Batu. Service prices everywhere are similar; the only difference is in the system of issuing certificates. PADI certificate is in demand.
Lembongan suits the best for novice divers. Sea life can be observed almost on the coast – there are flat reefs. Of course, there are several areas where diving is only possible in perfect weather.
