Kintamani is simply what the locals call an area located in North-East Bali that encompasses the villages of Kintamani, Penelokan and Batur. Located 50km from Denpasar in Bangli Regency, Kintamani is a popular sight-seeing destination for those who seek to view the magnificent Mount Batur, an active volcano with a 13sqm Batur caldera lake, a 16 km wide lake which serves as the main attraction and a popular fishing area.
The Kintamani area is also well-known for its fruits and vegetables. The area is 400 metres above sea level and the air is cool and can get pretty cold at night.
On this tour, we’ll arrange for you to enjoy local and traditional experiences along the way. You will get to see a Barong Dance performance at Batubulan village in Gianyar, followed with a visit to the Tohpati village to see traditional batik and weaving. Continue on to Celuk Village for gold and silver handicrafts and Rock Painting at Desa Mas. An ancient historic site is a great place to immerse in history, called Goa Gajah before we arrive at Kintamani just in time for lunch.
Here, you’ll enjoy lunch that comes with a breathtaking panoramic view of Lake Batur. After lunch we continue on to Tegalalang Rice Terraces, coffee plantations and Tirta Empul Temple in the village of Tampak Siring.
